Lumineers fans! Have you heard their cover of Talking Heads’ “Naive Melody”?

[Currently on loop in our headphones.]

Not my all time favorite cover of this song (Shawn Colvin), but it is one of my all time favorite songs, and the Lumineers are fun.

Reposting because I am still loving the Lumineers, and I will always love this song.

Casting News of the Day: The Wrap is reporting this morning that 20-year-old Oscar-nominee Jennifer Lawrence, best known for her role as Ree Dolly in Winter’s Bone, has nabbed the coveted role of Katniss Everdeen in Gary Ross’s live-action adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling sci-fi series The Hunger Games.
According to The Wrap, Lawrence signed on yesterday after two days of negotiations. She had been the “clear frontrunner” for nearly a week.
Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four), Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right), and Hunter Parrish (Weeds) are reportedly being considered for the part of Peeta Mellark.

This makes me so happy. She is my choice. She was SO GOOD in Winter’s Bone. She was Katniss in Winter’s Bone. I am all the more excited for the movie now. Hooray!!

I am currently reading This Book -

Love this line -After all, Mr. Leroy did say I handle myself like I was growned, and I know growned folks don’t like nothing better than doing a little eavesdropping.

So true, sad but true. This book is pretty interesting, but I did like Bud, Not Buddy better so far.

The Event

I have been continuing to watch “The Event” on NBC, although I haven’t been finding it very impressive and all the “mystery” stuff is actually kind of a drag. Maybe I’m just burnt out after LOST? But this show  is making me a little crazy and kind of bored and I want them to just give me a bunch more information so that I am more invested in the characters interests.

Good acting, but they are losing me. Thoughts?
